Reel Magic

Irchester Players retold the story of the Golden Age of Hollywood through the classic movie musicals of the past! The show marked the relaunching of Irchester Players’ musical revue series and was loved by the cast, crew and audiences alike.


 The Vicar of Dibley

Wednesday 24th to Saturday 27 May 2017

Directed by Ali Everitt                                                              Produced by Luke Campbell

Irchester Players brought the British TV classic to the stage, and it was a smash hit. The original script, set design and costumes were loved by audiences. The run saw in excess of 700 people visit Parsons Hall to watch the show.


Alice in Pantoland

The group’s annual pantomime was a real success. The original script, set design and costumes wowed the biggest audiences Irchester Players has ever had.


The Woman in White

This period play told the story of Wilkie Collins’ world famous novel, the Woman in White. The show was a hit with critiques and audiences.


Tales from the Enchanted Forest

Wednesday 25th May to Saturday 28th May 2016

Directed by Dan Wainwright
Directed and Produced by Luke Campbell

The adult only show told the stories of what happened to our childhood fairytale heroes and villains after the happy-ever-afters.  A show full of laughs for is grown-up audiences.


PantOZmime

Wednesday 10th to Saturday 13th February 2016

Produced by Luke Campbell, with Ali Everitt

The story of the Wizard of Oz retold and reinvented. All your favourite characters and some new ones ease on down the road towards the emerald city. A show full of laughs for all the family.

Some of you faithful followers may remember ‘The Best of British’ introduced by Alberto Poncenby-Smyth in 2011, he returned in 2013 travelling from Irchester to Tiddlybottom in ‘Musical Mayhem’. Now he is on the West End in the final part of The Best of British Trilogy

A magical story base on the traditional plot with many twists and unique characters.

The Players performed this comedy which told the story of Mint the piano tuner who gets summoned to the stately home of Lord and Lady Slingsby Craddock.Once there he falls in love with their daughter Amanda and tries to woo her away from her Fiance Cecil.
This Play was heavily reliant on sound and lighting effects.

We joined Harry Panto and his friends for a battle against evil powers along with panto mayhem. Spells, invisibility, dragons, zombies, ghosts and an angry spider complicated the path of Harry and his friends. A magical experience with plenty to make you jump out of your seat.

A selection of classic songs brought together by an amazing script in order to save the theatre from closing down, a West End director is recruited to save the theatre and hunts for a celebrity to appear in the show.                                            .

A very large cast performed this pantomime, doing it proud, the panto was a world premiere very loosely based on ‘The Sound of Music’ with additional characters and surprises along the way. Feedback from the audience was they laughed until they cried all the way through.

The cast of mixed ages performed a repertoire of songs from musicals and shows, modern and the more mature classics. This was to help celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee along with taking part in the street fair before the performance.

A hilarious play about local groups using the village hall and producing a show for the village gala, consisting of moris dancing, singing, comedy and even the full monty!


Treasure Island

A swashbuttling pirate adventure looking for treasure, a battle between the good and evil and ending happily ever after.
