Our Next Production…
What About You?
Irchester Players CIO are pleased to present ‘What About You?’, a brand new play being performed on Saturday 14th September 2019, at Irchester Bowls Club.
This production is a devised piece, meaning it has been created from scratch by a team of members, who are all taking on the joint roles of writer, director, producer and designer. This creative, collaborative approach is sure to produce an engaging, innovative piece of new theatre.
The play will focus on a group of young adults living in 90’s Britain. The script explores the issues faced by characters, and how they cope in an ever-changing society. Please be aware the play will include sensitive issues, swearing and sexual references. Recommended audience age of 15+ is advised.

This year also brings Irchester Players first musical in over a decade! Little Shop of Horrors was staged in October 2018.
The 2017 Season
In February 2017 it was Irchester Players 40th year, so we gave our audience four shows! Our pantomime was Alice in Pantoland, directed by Dan Wainwright and Luke Campbell. The 70s disco inspired panto brought us great music, great laughs and beautiful costumes!
Other productions in 2017 included The Vicar of Dibley, directed by Ali Everitt, and was our biggest selling show since PantOZmime back in 2016. We also introduced our audience to our new musical revue, Reel Magic, and ended our amazing year with a Christmas Concert, to spread christmas cheer. But that wasn’t enough for us, we also had Fanny’s Abba Mania, with an amazing tribute act, our Oscars night, and even a Christmas concert held at a residential home in Rushden.
Please note that Irchester Players became a charity on 21 April 2018. We are currently updating our website to reflect this change in status.
